How to find the right person for a hard-to-fill role

A well-respected Queensland nonprofit posted an ad on SEEK. The job was offering a good salary, location and flexible working; but after nearly a month in market they were struggling to find the right person for this business-critical role.

It was an unusual role, but not 'unicorn' unusual.

Using our marketing-led approach and with a combination of ads, social media and targeted outreach; Heart Talent reached more than 90 people in a little under a week.

There were some strong contenders and one absolute standout.

Just 14 days after we launched the recruitment campaign, both employer and job seeker had found their perfect match.

What makes our approach so effective?

The campaign leveraged multiple channels, an extensive network and a marketing mindset and skillset.

Our approach was about understanding the employers' unique value proposition and what was special about this role, and leveraging this heavily in our recruitment content.

Recruitment is marketing.
